I'm Glassface. I direct music videos and do VFX. Faceworld Video is the software side of my studio.

Fifteen years of this got me here. OG Maco's “U Guessed It,” Lil Yachty's “1 Night,” twenty-something videos with tobi lou, spots for Nike and Adidas and Google.

Analog hardware has been in my workflow that whole time. CRTs, tape, glitch gear, whatever was on the bench. Running a shot through real equipment is still the best way to get these looks, and it's where every one of these tools started.

The rack doesn't travel, though. On a rush turnaround, or working out of a hotel on someone else's deadline, none of it is with me. So I rebuilt the gear in software. Same signal path, same behavior, nothing to carry.

Everything runs live too. You scrub, you watch it happen, you change it. No rendering and waiting to find out you hated it.
