terms
The agreement.
Last updated 21 August 2026
These terms cover the store, digital delivery, product licences, beta access, and the limits that apply. The practical rules are simple: check compatibility, keep your download private, and use what you make anywhere.
The agreement
Faceworld Studios operates Faceworld Video. These terms apply when you use faceworld.video, buy or claim a product, or join a private beta. By doing so, you agree to these terms and the policies linked from the site. Mandatory rights under the law where you live still apply.
Eligibility and account information
You must be able to enter a binding contract where you live. Information supplied for an order, download, or beta must be accurate and must not impersonate someone else. You are responsible for access to your email, download links, and licence keys.
What a purchase includes
A purchase grants a licence to use the software or digital assets; it does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, product files, or Faceworld marks. Purchases are one-time unless a product page clearly says otherwise.
A licence covers one user, or one seat bought by a company, for personal and commercial projects. You may install it on the machines you personally use. Studios should buy one seat per editor. The full short-form licence is on our Licensing page.
Updates and product life
Free updates apply within the major version purchased for as long as we support that version. A future major version may be a paid upgrade. We may change, retire, or stop updating a product, and cannot promise compatibility with every future operating system, host application, or device.
What you may make
Output you create with our tools is yours, including paid client work. We claim no ownership of your source footage or finished edits.
What you may not do
- Resell, share, sublicense, rent, publish, or repackage the software, source assets, presets, download links, or licence keys.
- Bundle our product files into something you distribute, including the free STASH pack.
- Circumvent licence checks or reverse engineer a product except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use the site to break the law, infringe rights, send harmful code, probe security, or interfere with another person's access.
Prices, taxes, and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars unless checkout says otherwise and may change before an order is placed. The total shown at checkout, including applicable taxes, is the amount charged. Shopify and its payment providers process checkout; we do not receive your full card number.
Digital delivery
Products are delivered digitally to the email used at checkout or through the order-status page. Check the address before submitting, keep your confirmation, and check spam if an email is delayed. Contact us if a valid order does not arrive.
Compatibility and product descriptions
Each product page states the intended format, supported systems or host applications, and any known requirements available at the time. Check that information before buying. Product demonstrations illustrate creative results, but exact output varies with footage, settings, and workflow.
Refunds and cancellation rights
Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. Digital sales are final where the law permits, with exceptions for billing errors, products that are materially defective or not as described, and mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
Some countries give consumers a short right to withdraw from digital purchases unless they expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge losing that right when the download begins. Any such right remains unless it has been validly waived under the law that applies to the order.
Beta and preview software
Beta builds are pre-release, may be time-limited, may change, and may contain errors. Back up important work and do not rely on a beta for a deadline you cannot miss. Beta access may be tied to a named tester or invite and may not be shared. Feedback you submit may be used to diagnose and improve the product under our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The products, site, code, designs, copy, product media, and Faceworld names and marks belong to us or our licensors. Except for the licence expressly granted with a product, no right or ownership is transferred.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and products are provided as is and as available, without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular workflow.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost footage, work, profit, or deadlines. Our total liability for a product is limited to the amount paid for it. These limits do not apply where law prohibits them, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Third-party services
The site relies on services such as Shopify, Vercel, Dropbox, and Discord. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you use their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access for serious or repeated violations, fraud, attacks, or unauthorized redistribution. If access ends for a reason unrelated to your conduct, we will use reasonable efforts to let you retain a copy of a product already purchased.
Changes, severability, and governing law
We may update these terms, and the date at the top identifies the current version. If one part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without removing mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
