What we collect.
Last updated 21 August 2026
We collect what is needed to deliver tools, run the store, answer people, and improve the site. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers on faceworld.video. This policy explains the details and the choices available to you.
Who controls your information
Faceworld Studios operates Faceworld Video and is the controller of personal information collected through faceworld.video. Contact us at faceworldinstruments@gmail.com.
Information you give us
- Email and marketing choice when you request STASH, a discount, product news, or another email offer.
- Order information such as name, email, billing address, products, price, tax, and payment confirmation. Shopify and its payment providers process full payment-card details; we do not receive or store the complete card number.
- Private beta information such as your name, email, invite reference, order record, device details you choose to provide, feedback, and whether we may contact you about a report. The beta does not collect a street address on faceworld.video.
- Support and accessibility messages, including any files or system details you choose to send.
Information collected when you use the site
- IP address, request time, page, browser, operating system, language, device type, and approximate location used for hosting, security, and diagnostics.
- Page views, referrers, device details, and performance measurements collected in aggregate by Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
- Cart and private-beta prefill storage described in our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it and our legal bases
- Contract: to create and fulfil orders, deliver downloads and licence information, provide requested beta access, and support what you received.
- Consent: to send optional marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, debug, measure, and improve the site, prevent fraud, keep business records, and answer messages, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: to keep tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce or defend legal rights.
Who receives information
We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose only what is needed to operate the store and services:
- Shopify and its commerce, payment, customer, email, order, and digital-delivery services.
- Vercel for website hosting, request logs, anonymous site measurement, and performance insights.
- Dropbox when a download is hosted there, and Discord if you choose to open or join the community link.
- Professional advisers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
- A buyer or successor if the business is reorganized or sold, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
Cookies and local storage
Essential storage keeps the cart working and can prefill information you submitted through the private beta. Vercel's site analytics does not use advertising cookies.
Faceworld does not currently load the Meta Pixel or another third-party advertising tracker on faceworld.video. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How long we keep information
We keep order and transaction records for the period needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, support, and legal claims. We keep marketing records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, subject to a minimal suppression record so we do not add you back by mistake. Beta orders and feedback are kept while the test is active and afterward as reasonably needed to improve, support, and document the release. Support messages are kept while the issue is active and for a reasonable follow-up period.
Vercel controls retention for platform logs and analytics under our service settings. Beta-prefill records saved in your browser remain until you clear site data.
International processing
We operate from the State of California, United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on the provider's applicable contractual or legal transfer mechanism.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain uses. You may withdraw consent and will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
Email faceworldinstruments@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law. Use the unsubscribe link in marketing email to stop optional messages.
If European or UK data-protection law applies, you may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to address the issue first, but that is not a requirement.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections, access controls, and established providers. Payment details go directly to Shopify's checkout. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information involved.
Children
The store is for video editors and creators and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information so we can review and remove it.
Changes and contact
We will update the date on this page when the policy materially changes. Questions, requests, or complaints can be sent to faceworldinstruments@gmail.com.
